Poetry: Spring

I’m with butterflies and fairies

That float to the sky

In dreams and visions

Tears from your eyes

Deep springs that pool

and flowers that bloom

Red velvet roses

Your lily perfume

The scent of dahlias

That lingers so near

I’m the feather-soft whispers

In the stillness you hear

The glisten of rain

Diamonds and pearls

The music that plays

I’m forever your girl

When you feel afraid

And think I’m gone

Be still and listen

You’ll hear our song

I’m spirit and truth

Where time never ends

I’m your lover

Your mother

Your daughter

Your friend

Close your eyes my sweetness

Soon you will see

I’m waiting for you

As you wait for me
